Yesterday news broke that Minnesota Timeberwolves star Jimmy Butler had requested a trade away from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Originally it was reported that Butler had provided a short list of three teams that he would be willing to be traded to and sign a long-term contract extension upon arrival.

Well, now we know the teams on that list, here they are.

  1. New York Knicks
  2. Los Angeles Clippers
  3. Brooklyn Nets

It's strange as it's not exactly your typical list of teams that you see pop up in these scenarios. Yes they are big markets but all three of those teams are in some stage of the rebuilding process. There had been rumors that Butler and Irving would be joining forces in the Eastern Conference and this would be in line with that. It also just shows us that Butler is after the money much more than a ring. None of those teams are going to be winning a ring any time soon.

Send him to the hot mess in Brooklyn and leave him there to wallow in that decision.
