Vikings center Pat Elflein to start Thursday night versus Rams | KFAN

Amidst some of the off the field news, there was a little football discussed in Tuesday's press conference with Mike Zimmer at TCO Performance Center.

Notably, the return of injured center Pat Elflein into the starting lineup will in fact be this Thursday in L.A.

Elflein, who has missed time after a shoulder and knee injury, returned to the playing field this past weekend playing 22 snaps but he did not start as Brett Jones made his third start for the team. On Thursday though, Elflein will get the start and hope to jump start a Vikings offensive line that struggled mightily against the bills on Sunday.

It's unclear at this time if Elflein's return will cause any sort of trickle down effect on the rest of the offensive line but there has been some speculation of a changeup at left guard.

Stay tuned for confirmation on that.
