Anthony Barr splashed in a big way today on the field against the Miami dolphins.
Finishing the game with 7 tackles and 2 sacks obviously had a big impact on the final outcome, a 41-17 victory, but when asked about today's performance Barr was quick to turn the attention to the rest of the team, the entirety of the team.
"We hadn't really completed a game together all year," Anthony Barr told KFAN after the game. "It was offense plays well, defense plays well...Everybody has to show up and do their job, and we did that today."
It helps when you get out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter allowing your offense to do somethings from a standpoint of strength and allowing your defense to pin their ears back a bit and rush the quarterback.
For the Vikings, it was 8 sacks in the second half when they did have that big lead. Asked if sacks were the goal for this team, Barr responded saying "The goal is to win, so I think sacks play a part in that."
At the end of the day, according to Barr there's not a whole lot to a game going this way when you have talented players lined up on your team.
"It's a simple game when you sit back and look at it. When you do the little things right you're going to be successful."
