It was a cool day for Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph as he was introduced on the field as the Minnesota Vikings nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

If Kyle's nomination video "Dear Kyle" didn't grab your attention already, maybe his conversation with KFAN after the game will help.

Asked about the honor to be nominated for the award, here's what Kyle told KFAN...

"It's been incredible," Kyle said. "One of the things I told my wife Jordan. To see the support from all over the country, to see Packers fans, Bears fans, Eagles fans, it doesn't matter just appreciating what we're doing. We have an opportunity and a platform to do good in this community. We feel like we'd be wasting this opportunity if we didn't. We feel we'd be wasting that opportunity if we didn't."

Kyle is currently in the running for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Challenge as well and a victory in this Twitter based contest could award Rudolph with an additional $25,000 to be donated to the charity of his choice, in this case The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.

As of the posting of this article, Rudy had opened up nearly a 50,000 vote lead over Dak Prescott but there's still a lot of time to go.

Here's how you can help...

Between no and January 13th any message posted to Twitter with "#WPMOYChallenge" and the name "Rudolph" will count as one vote for Kyle. You have to have both for the vote to count.
