This year’s theme will be Come to the Table for a Cause to Cook! As cooking has become America’s favorite past time with all the cooking shows, competitions, weird funny foods and fabulous restaurants, the GMJF thought this would be a fun gala theme! In addition, we have a new cookbook to be published in 2019. Pre-sales for this fall 2019 release will be part of the focus of the gala. Some very amazing children living Muscular Dystrophy will be featured in this cookbook with stories on how special meals, the fun of cooking together, family, friends and community has impacted their lives. We hope this cookbook will raise awareness of MD and the need for support in better treatments and eventually a cure!
Cause to Cook for a Cure – Come to the Table!
As often happens, when friends get together, a casual comment ferments and eventually grows to a full-fledged idea. Our popular 1989 Cause to Cook Cookbook had just such a beginning! Now, after 30 years, we’re working on a second edition cookbook named Come to the Table for a Cause to Cook for a Cure, which will be published in 2019. This project, along with so many other Greg Marzolf Jr. Foundation events, is due to the unwavering dedication of friends, family and community benefactors that support our spirit and mission!
Please Come to the Table on January 12, 2019 to help support this cookbook project and to celebrate friendship at it best with the love of food, cooking, gathering and the joy we bring to the table!
5:30pm – Social with passed appetizers. Activities include cooking demonstrations, drawings, silent and live auctions. Causal attire welcomed! Bring a recipe! Bring a favorite cook!
6:30pm- Dinner with Cause to Cook recipes from original and new cookbook featured!
7:30pm – Program, Live Auction, Fund a Need
