Ryan Saunders to fill in as Timberwolves interim Head Coach | KFAN 100.3 FM

After defeating the Lebron James-less the Los Angelese Lakers by twenty-two points earlier today, the Minnesota Timberwolves decided it was time to fire their head coach Tom Thibodeau.

The decision, more than a month in the making, leaves the Wolves in an interesting spot with more than half the season left to go, without an experienced head coach.

According to sources including The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski, it will be Ryan Saunders filling in as interim head coach and Scott Layden sitting in as general manager.

At only 32 years old, Saunders will be the youngest coach acting in the NBA. Ryan is also the son of the late head coach and general manager of the Timberwolves Flip Saunders.
