The streaming video service Netflix is getting set to raise their prices 13-18% on its most popluar plan for nearly 58 million subscribers.
The main plan, currently priced at $11 will raise to a whopping $13.
The last hike came in 2017 and this marks the fourth price increase in the company's streaming history. While the Internet is in an uproar, the change equates to about $24 more per year, or .06 cents a day.
It's debated whether or not the the price increase to combat sharing of login credentials or not but it will also allow Netflix to make big investments into future original content pieces like Bandersnatch or Bird Box.
The new pricing will effect all new customers beginning immediately and current subscribers will notice the price hike take effect over the next three months.
