Remember the videos last week that went viral showcasing college students partying in Florida for Spring Break despite recommendations to avoid travel and avoid large crowds? Well, in a turn of not so shocking news, at least 5-students who opted to party on the beach last week have now tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the University of Tampa, five students who were traveling with a larger group of students during Spring Break last week have now tested positive for COVID-19.
Some college students were captured on camera last week saying "if I get Corona, I get Corona".
Social media had criticized the students for "irresponsible" decision making amid a global pandemic but many still went through with ill-advised travel plans.
