Vikings enter halftime with a 13-0 lead over the Seahawks

Minnesota Vikings v Seattle Seahawks

The Vikings entered tonight’s game in Seattle as seven point underdogs. Through the first two quarters they have outplayed the Seahawks, leading 13-0 going into halftime. The only touchdown of the night was an 8-yard Dalvin Cook touchdown.

Getting the running backs going early was clearly a priority for Gary Kubiak, as Cook and Alexander Mattison have a combined 128 of the Vikings 217 total yards.

Kirk Cousins is quietly having a solid night, completing 15 of his 21 passes for 140 yards. Dan Bailey has also been perfect on the night, going two for two on fields goals and making his only PAT of the night.

Leading up to the game it seemed as if it were going to be an offensive showdown. The Vikings defense has stepped up, sacking Russell Wilson four times in the first half. James Lynch recorded his first career sack, while Eric Wilson, Yannick Ngakoue and Ifeadi Odenigbo all have a sack as well.

Wilson has only thrown the ball seven times and only has 40 yards through the air.

There is still a full half of football left and the Vikings are going up against the current MVP frontrunner. The defense is going to have to continue to impress while the offense needs to keep the game in their control.
