Vikings’ linebacker Todd Davis tests positive for COVID-19

Seattle Seahawks v Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are going to be without their starting base linebacker against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reported Friday morning that Todd Davis tested positive for COVID-19.

Davis is the second Vikings player placed on the COVID-19 list this week after Cameron Dantzler was placed on it earlier in the week.

The defense for the Vikings has already taken some big blows this season, but they are expected to be missing several players in their secondary as well. Dantzler is on the COVID list, whereas Mike Hughes and Holton Hill didn’t practice all week due to injuries.

Rookie linebacker Troy Dye is set to make the start in Davis’ spot, after returning from the IR this week.
