The Minnesota Vikings parted ways with long-time tight end Kyle Rudolph just a few weeks ago to free up additional cap space. The team has since announced several roster moves and it sounds as if the former red zone target has found his new home.
Rudolph’s agency reported on Thursday afternoon that he is signing a two-year contract with the New York Giants. He will be joining former teammate Ifeadi Odenigbo, who signed in New York earlier this week.
There haven’t been many better to come through the state of Minnesota from a community perspective. Rudolph left many memories on the football field during his time in Minnesota, but his impact on goes beyond just the game.
Minnesota’s community will miss the Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, whether that means watching him secure a walk-off playoff win or helping change the lives of many within the Children’s Hospital.
I think I speak for most people within this state when I say this, thank you Rudy for all the memories, on and off the field.
