On the heels of one of the all-time best NBA Playoff performances from Kevin Durant, one of the dumbest statements that we'll ever hear was uttered (I guess tweeted) by another NBA All-Timer Great.
Hall of Famer and TNT broadcaster Reggie Miller took to Twitter after the game and he probably shouldn't. The tweet that he shared after the game is going viral for all of the wrong reasons.
Miller's tweet reads as follows...
I’m just going to throw this out there to see what the responses will be.. If your Steve Nash and the Nets, would you sit James Harden AND Kevin Durant in Game 6 because of the heavy minutes tonight, and push all your chips to the center of table for Game 7??
Now, he pulled a pro move starting the tweet with the phrase, "I'm just going to throw this out there to see what the responses will be...". It's equivalent to saying, "with all due respect" before ripping someone or something to shreds. Except in this case, what followed was so egregious that the outcry was unavoidable.
Here are just a few of the responses that summarize the groups reaction pretty well...
