The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly preparing to cut ties with QB Jake Browning as the 53-man roster deadline approaches this afternoon.

Browning, who has struggled this preseason, was once thought to have the lead as the team's backup quarterback as rookie Kellen Mond sat in the wings to continue learning. That changed after his preseason appearances failed to impress.

It's thought that the team will attempt to clear Browning through waivers and bring him back on the practice squad for QB depth behind Cousins and Mond.
