If you haven't already looked at your Fantasy Football lineup for your upcoming Week #7 matchups, don't...well, you'll have to but please brace yourself before you dive in.
Week #7 in 2021 has a laundry list of good fantasy teams who are BYE this week. Fantasy rosters this week will be without Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson, Austin Ekeler, Justin Herbert, Adam Thielen, Keenan Allen, Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, CeeDee Lamb, James Robinson, Najee Harris and more. Those are just the sure thing starters in your lineup, there's certainly other names as well.
It leaves many teams grasping for straws this week as we should all plan to see A TON of FAAB fly off the shelves this week as the options from the waiver wires are thin.
So let us help a little bit. Below are 10 players that you could consider picking up to cover some of the issues that BYE-POCALYPSE might be leaving you with.
WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - CLE
Jones splashed last week for the Browns reeling in four passes for 101 yards and 2 TDs on the day. The Browns passing game is inconsistent but with Nick Chubb likely out on Thursday and Kareem Hunt out for a few games, look for the Browns to pass more on Thursday night.
RB Rhamondre Stevenson - NE
Stevenson has been coming on the past few weeks getting more reps in the Patriots offense. He can run, he can catch and he can block so he's an option on all three downs for the Pats. On top of that Damien Harris was battling through injuries on Sunday and his status is unknown for this week. Regardless of Harris, Stevenson will get some run.
RB D'Ernest Johnson - CLE
We mentioned it above, with Hunt and Chubb both likely to miss the Browns Thursday night game, it looks like starting running back reps will be going to D'Ernest Johnson. Cleveland prefers to focus as a run oriented offense and Johnson looks to be that player.
RB Michael Carter - NYJ
Carter is coming off of a BYE week and could slip through the radar and out of the mind for some owners. On top of that he plays for the Jets and some owners write off all New York Jets plain and simple. Could be a nice plug-n-play this week against the Pats who will certainly be focusing on stopping the passing game more than the run.
WR Rashod Bateman - BAL
Bateman is familiar to Minnesotans thanks to his time with the Gophers and he returned to the playing field for the Ravens this past weekend. There was high praise for Bateman during training camp before a groin injury landed him on the IR. As he continues to get more comfortable with the NFL, being a part of the Ravens offense is never a bad thing.
QB Tua Tagovailoa - MIA
Tua returned from injury last weekend in London and posted 329 yards and two TDs against the Jaguars. This week he gets the Atlanta Falcons and a defense that allows more than 22 fantasy points to quarterbacks each week.
QB Ryan Tannehil - TEN
Tennessee gets the Chiefs this week and it's been well documented how you can stream quarterbacks against this porous Chiefs defense. Tannehill got A.J. Brown back and involved this week and will likely be throwing a lot this weekend to keep pace with the high powered Chiefs.
