Twitter went a little crazy late last week as Jim Harbaugh jumped into the fold when it comes to consideration for head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. That fervor increased over the weekend as rumors of an interview swirled and some sources started putting him as the favorite for the Vikings.
Come Monday, maybe we should all pump the breaks a bit on the Harbaugh thought and change our focus.
For one, there's reason to believe that this is just a leverage play from Harbaugh to get more money out of the University of Michigan or possibly to open the door in Miami for more money as well. And secondly, there's been a little back pedaling already when it comes to this "interview" that took place on Friday.
Very quickly RapSheet took to twitter reframing that interview calling it an "exploratory call" with Harbaugh.
It's been no more than four days since this really started gaining momentum, but the idea of Harbaugh here in Minnesota is already starting to lose its luster.
