A Finalist Has Dropped out of The Vikings Coaching Search | #KFANVikes

The Minnesota Vikings are conducting their final round of head coaching interviews this week and the list of candidates just dropped by one.

On the same day that the team conducted their second interviews with Kevin O'Connell and Raheem Morris of the Rams, San Francisco 49ers Defensive Coordinator Raheem Morris officially pulled his name out of the race. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Morris has withdrawn his name from the second round of interviews with the Vikings to focus on developing further in his current role with the 49ers.

Ryans was thought to be one of the top defensive coaching candidates available this year after rolling the hot hand with the 49ers all the way to the NFC Championship game. Whether the interviews weren't going his way or if he feels that there's unfinished business left on the table in San Fran, he's no longer being considered for any opening positions.

That leaves four remaining candidates to consider for the Vikings. The two interviews with O'Connell and Morris took place yesterday, a second interview with Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham today and then Jim Harbaugh is scheduled to fly into town on Wednesday for an in person meeting with the team as well.

Then it gets interesting...
