Apparently there are only two journalists that can get ahold of University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh following his unsuccessful interview with the Minnesota Vikings. The first is Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press, that makes sense. The second, strangely enough Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
Tomasson got Harbaugh to answer the phone before the interview and received a text from Jim after he opted to head back to Michigan. According to the text shared by Tomasson, Harbaugh had nothing but respect for the Minnesota Vikings, the Wilf family and new GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah whom he called a "shining star".
Harbaugh and Adofo-Mensah spent a brief stint together years ago with the San Francisco 49ers and then spent another 9-hours together the other day in Eagan. Kwesi's growth was apparently noticed by the college coach who commented on his bright future adding that the Vikings are "poised for greatness".
Kind word after parting ways.
