On the morning that their season opener was supposed to kickoff, the Minnesota Twins have made was would be qualified as a "big" trade for a starting pitcher and a reliever from the San Diego Padres.

Sending reliever Taylor Rogers to the Padres with outfielder Brent Rooker, the Twins have received starting pitcher Chris Paddack and reliever Emilio Pagan in return.

Paddack was 7-7 last year for the Padres with a 5.07 ERA in 108.1 innings pitched.
