As the Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback position seems to still be up in the air, we might have received some resolution today as we wonder what the team is thinking.

According to Tom Pelissero, the Minnesota Vikings have completed a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders to receive backup quarterback Nick Mullens in return for a conditional 7th round pick.

Mullens will not immediately usurp Kellen Mond and Sean Mannion for the backup quarterback position behind Kirk Cousins but given the team's investment to go out and get him, he'll have a good chance to show something in the third preseason game this weekend in Denver and is likely the leader in the clubhouse.
