Richfield schools closed Monday after "online threats" were made

Richfield Public Schools has made the decision Monday morning, September 26th to close their secondary education facilities today after receiving "online threats" towards their buildings.

The decision comes just days after a shooting incident took place outside the Richfield homecoming football game last Friday which caused fans and players to evacuate the facility and the weekend's homecoming dance to be canceled.

The schools closed on Monday include Richfield Middle School, Richfield High School, the South Education Center and the Richfield College Experience Program.

All elementary schools will remain open as they were not the target of the threats.
