According to sources close to the situation including an Instagram post from his sister Corri, the son of former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer and former co-defensive coordinator Adam Zimmer has passed away at the age of 38.
"I can’t believe I’m writing this," Corri wrote on Instagram. "I lost my big brother yesterday. The kindest, sweetest, family loving, sports obsessed soul there ever was."
Adam Zimmer came to Minnesota with his father in 2014 as a linebackers coach. He held that position for 8 seasons with the Vikings in addition to being named Co-Defensive coordinator in 2020.
