Charles Oakley was with the Knicks for a decade in the late 80's thru most of the 90's. He's been very critical of Knicks owner James Dolan and the consistent mediocrity of the organization since he retired.
On Wednesday night, he was involved in a confrontation with security near the court and was forcibly removed. After being arrested and taken to Midtown South precinct of the NYPD, it's been reported that he is being charged with misdemeanor assault and trespassing.
The Knicks, because they're first-class tools, released this statement:
"He was a great Knick and we hope he gets some help soon..."
Most responses from rubes to this tweet? "We hope your team gets some help soon..."
