Bloomington was the only district not to cancel or delay, here's why...

With most of the state of Minnesota schools shut down for the day and the rest of them bracing to do so Tuesday & Wednesday, one Metro Twin Cities school district stood firm and didn't cancel -OR- delay classes today.

The Bloomington school district was the only district in the metro area not to cancel or delay due to snow today and it looks like they might have made the right decision.

According to the district's twitter account...

"Our goal is to minimize the loss of instructional time while being mindful of student and staff safety. In general, we will remain open. To cancel, delay or close schools early poses significant issues for families with transportation and child-care arrangements."

The district has already commented and said that they are bracing for what's to come with the cold weather this week and will make a separate, unrelated decision soon for those school days.
