Well how about this. There's been a lot of news lately surrounding serial killer Ted Bundy. The release of Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes on Netflix the other week has brought the story of America's most normal looking serial killer back to light.
Then the trailer was released for the motion picture story of the Bundy murders titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile starring heart throb Zac Efron. Well, there's been a twist surrounding the release of this film that just came down the chute today.
According to reports, Netflix has purchased Extremely Wicked for $9 million to release on their platform after the movie debuts at the Sundance Festival.
This usually isn't the best sign for the overall quality of a movie as if it were really good, there could be a theater run first AND THEN the sale and a jump to a streaming service. Going straight to Netflix might tell us that it's not all that good.
Still, Netflix is expected to release the film for streaming later this fall to position it for award season.
