There's been a bunch of hubbub lately about "Momo". Is it real is it a hoax? Is it blown out of proportion. People have been pushing back saying that there's no proof that Momo has become a problem, now we have some proof.
Below is a video showing an occurrence that a parent stumbled upon with their kids. A video of "Peppa Pig", an innocent kids cartoon on Nick Jr. gets interrupted by Momo jumping in and encouraging the viewer to harm themselves.
*Again, I hate that I have to make this clarification but whether or not the "Momo Challenge" is blow out of proportion or not, the core problem here is real. Again, we experienced it at our house with our 3-year old innocently watching YouTube Kids when his cartoon turned into Mickey Mouse decapitating someone and referencing adult themes. THIS is the issue, computers and algorithms allowing content to slip through the filters and fall into the lap of our kids.
