You guys remember former Minnesota Wild forward Jason Pominville right? He had a pretty decent tenure here with the Wild tallying 76 goals and 206 points over five seasons which were sandwiched between a start and back to another sting in Buffalo right now.
Well, Pominville turned heads on Monday night for something that he probably wishes didn't happen. In the third period with his Sabres down 4-3 to the Oilers, Pominville had the puck on his stick right on the doorstep of an open net. He took the shot, didn't get good wood on it and ultimately ended up blocking his own shot on the followthrough and recoil of said shot.
I know, it's a bit confusing, but take a look at this...just nuts.
