We've learned a few pieces of new information over the weekend surrounding the incident at the Mall of America last week which resulted in a 5-year old boy being thrown over the edge of a third floor balcony. Maybe the coolest thing to come out of this situation is watching the community rally behind this little boy and his family.
While the family of the victim has only asked for privacy and prayer for their son during this time, a family friend took it upon himself to set up a GoFundMe.com website for the family to help cover medical costs and just over the weekend the cause has already raised more than $500,000

The website has continued to share a few updates over the weekend and is sharing that that the 5-year old boy, Landen, sounds like he is expected to survive and is finding the ability for some much needed rest over the weekend.
We are all completely overwhelmed with the love and support that has come our way during this tragic time. The family has asked for continued privacy during this time, but we want to keep everybody updated to how Landen is doing. He had a peaceful sleep and is still continuing to fight his courageous battle, he's a strong survivor!
