The biggest news in the White Bear Lake area this week is that the house on Bald Eagle Lake's private island just went up for sale.
Bald Eagle Lake is a 1,047 acre lake located on the northside of the city of White Bear Lake and features an island with a house on it that was recently renovated and oh boy, is it nice.

The garage is a nice feature in the three months or so out of the year when you can supposedly drive across the lake when it is frozen enough. One of the many questions that people have is how the residents get to and from shore throughout the year. I have been told that boats are used in the summertime, snowmobiles are primarily used in the wintertime, and in the in-between when the lake is partly frozen a hovercraft is used to get back to civilization.
