FOR SALE: Live On Your Very Own Private Island In White Bear Lake!

The biggest news in the White Bear Lake area this week is that the house on Bald Eagle Lake's private island just went up for sale.

Bald Eagle Lake is a 1,047 acre lake located on the northside of the city of White Bear Lake and features an island with a house on it that was recently renovated and oh boy, is it nice.

Featuring over 2,800 feet of shoreline, this island home has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, and, for some reason, a six car garage.

The garage is a nice feature in the three months or so out of the year when you can supposedly drive across the lake when it is frozen enough. For the rest of the year you are stuck using a ferry to get your cars too and from your house so yeah, I'm not sure why you would need a six car garage but you will have it if you need it!

The house also features a bar area with a pool table and large windows looking out at the lake that surrounds the mansion. You can also enjoy a movie in the movie theater and when it is time to get some exercise there is a racquetball court that doubles as a basketball court. Finally, when you want to relax you can step in to a tub that is surrounded by large windows so you can unwind while hoping those fishing don't get too close to the island to see you getting in and out of the tub.

Other features include:

Top end luxuries including brick, Hardie exterior, Marvin Windows. Sub Zero/Wolf appliances, Duluxe chef's kitchen, LL bar, garage bar, league size raquetteball [sic] court, screen porch, multiple decks covering over 1500 sq. ft., whole house audio system with speakers in almost every room, exterior speakers, a Ubiquiti enterprise level wifi network, professional home theater w/ star ceiling. Smart home controlled by iPads throughout the home: All lighting, Audio/video, garage doors, skylights, music, HVAC, full camera system and more!

One of the many questions that people have is how the residents get to and from shore throughout the year. I have been told that boats are used in the summertime, snowmobiles are primarily used in the wintertime, and in the in-between when the lake is partly frozen a hovercraft is used to get back to civilization.

If the size of this house and the features within it are worth the inconvenience of leaving it, it can be yours for the low, low price of $6,600,000!
