Early in the day on Monday a press release came out from the office of the Hennepin County Attorney's office claiming that they would be bringing charges against a "national celebrity" at a 2pm press conference.
At said press conference, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced they will be charging musician R. Kelly with sexual misconduct involving a minor back in 2001.
According to freeman the victim was paid money and received front row tickets for "dancing and sexual contact."
R. Kelly is currently in custody for other charges within the state of New York.
