The Minnesota Vikings added a veteran CB Friday night in former 49ers starter Tramaine Brock.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Vikings have shipped out their 2018 seventh-round draft pick in exchange for Tramaine Brock.
On August 16th 2017 (just two weeks ago!), the veteran corner signed a 1-year deal with the Seahawks, after the 49ers let him go for both contract and potentially off the field legal issues as well.
Before his release from the 49ers, Brock was charged with felony level domestic violence in June but charges were dropped in August by the Santa Clara County district attorney's office.
Fast forward to tonight, he is "excited" to be a Minnesota Viking, and was even considering signing in Minnesota in mid-August.
Tramaine Brock started 31 of the last 32 games for the 49ers defense, and recorded 4 INT over those two seasons. His best seasons since entering the NFL in 2010. He will add an element of competition to earn that No. 2 cornerback role behind Xavier Rhodes.
