SIGNING: #Vikings add OL depth with Kaleb Johnson

The Minnesota Vikings signed offensive guard Kaleb Johnson Monday after placing Nick Easton on injured reserve, which opened up a roster spot.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Johnson is 25 years old and was cut by the Chicago Bears Saturday.

He will wear No. 66 with the Vikings.

Minnesota becomes the sixth NFL team Johnson has played with since he first signed on with the Baltimore Ravens in May 2015 as an undrafted rookie from Rutgers.

Johnson has yet to appear in an NFL game, and has played the majority of his career as an offseason and/or practice squad member only.

Reports out of Monday’s practice reveal that Johnson has already been inserted into practice work and drills with the Vikings second-team offense.
