There's been a bunch of former Vikings players agreeing to contracts with other teams during this year's negotiation window, but no name as big as this one.
Running back Adrian Peterson has agreed to terms of a two-year, $8 million deal with the Washington Redskins.
Nearly 34 years old, Peterson signed a one year deal with Washington last year for veteran's minimum. He posted a 1,000 yard rushing season (the 8th of his career), scored 8 touchdowns and more importantly stayed healthy for all 16 of Washington's games.
He'll continue to fight for playing time and continue to fight his way up some of the NFL's all-time records lists. With 13,318 career rushing yards to date, Peterson is currently 8th all-time but sits only 344 yards behind Jerome Bettis, 366 yards behind LaDanian Tomlinson and 783 yards behind Curtis Martin. He's also tied with Jim Brown for 5th all-time with 106 career rushing touchdowns, four behind Walter Payton.
