It was a little unprecedented as the crop of offensive linemen started to drop in the 2019 NFL Draft leaving the Vikings to pick between what might be the best left tackle in this year's draft and the best center in this year's draft.
At pick #18, the Vikings chose the center, Garrett Bradbury out of NC State.
Bradbury is smart, has attitude and grit and will fit nicely on the Vikings offensive line. Drafting the center will likely push current Vikings center Pat Elflein to the left to serve as the teams LG between Bradbury and Reiff...or they could move Bradbury to LG and keep Elflein in the middle. That leaves the Vikings with an athletic offensive line which will help the offense run smoothly and Kirk Cousins succeed.
