As day three in the 2019 NFL Draft gets set to kick off at 11:00am CST, the Vikings are sure to be active with 9 picks in their pockets spanning the final four rounds of the draft.
But early Saturday morning, the talk surrounding the Vikings is featured on reports saying that the Vikings are fielding phone calls with teams that are interested in trading for CB Xavier Rhodes, CB Trae Waynes and TE Kyle Rudolph.
It's been well documented that the Vikings are in need of cutting salary simply to pay their rookie class that is being drafted right now. While the report above mentioned that the Vikings are not being proactive, they are answering the phone and listening to inquires as something needs to give.
Right now there is a need to cut about $5MM to pay the rookie class. Rudy would clear $7.4MM, Rhodes would clear $13MM and Waynes would free up $9MM.
