The Minnesota Vikings opened Training Camp at TCO Performane Center this morning and with the first official practice comes the first official injury designations for the preseason.
While most ears were waiting to hear an update on injured cornerback Mike Hughes, Mike Zimmer also mentioned that young defensive end Tashawn Bower was placed on the Non-Football Injury list. Asked what happened, Zimmer casually shared that Bower had torn his achilles while working out on his own leading up to the season.
Zimmer also made sure to share that the team took care of Bower who will likely miss the entire season giving the year long recovery process that accompanies such injuries.
