Fans gathered at TCO Stadium Saturday night for the team's annual night practice saw an unexpectedly large dose of rookie tight end Irv Smith Jr. after Kyle Rudolph was held out for what appeared to be a veteran's rest day.
Today though, head coach Mike Zimmer shared the real reason why Rudy didn't participate under the lights.
According to the coach at his press conference this afternoon, Rudolph missed practice because he has a "minor little thing", an injury that was best served to keep him on the sidelines.
Sounds like it's not expected to be a large concern for Kyle but we'll keep our eyes on updated coming out of TCO going forward!
