Trade rumors popped up earlier this week claiming that the Minnesota Vikings were shopping former first round draft pick Laquon Treadwell. The rumors associated a 5th round value with the shopping venture, but to date there had been no takers.
So the Minnesota Vikings took to the field on national TV last night with the intent to "showcase" Treadwell, maybe in an attempt to heat up that trade market a little bit.
"We're trying to get Treadwell the ball a little bit more in the second half," head coach Mike Zimmer said after the game. "Try to showcase him a little bit, I guess. He made some nice plays"
Treadwell finished the game catching all four passes thrown his way, finishing with 47 yards on with a couple solid catches. Admittedly it was mostly against the twos and threes for Seattle, but was it enough to get a little tape out there for the showcase and finish a trade? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
