The Minnesota Vikings saw their already thin defensive backfield get a little thinner on Sunday as Mackensie Alexander left the game midway with a dislocated elbow.
Alexander wasn't able to return on Sunday and after an MRI on Monday is sounds like he'll miss some more time as that elbow heals. Thankfully, according to reports from Tom Pelissero, Alexander will avoid the need for surgery on the injured elbow but his return to the field is presently unknown.
Rookie CB Kris Boyd filled in for Alexander on Sunday and according to head coach Mike Zimmer the Vikings have a decent chance to get Mike Hughes back on the field in Green Bay after missing almost a full year with a torn ACL/MCL.
