The sports world both in Minnesota and across the country was thrown into a tizzy Wednesday afternoon when Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs was not practicing and his designation was simply listed as "not injury related". The speculation began and given Diggs' frustrations in recent times that speculation ran freaking wild!
Couple this with rumors that the Patriots were in the market for a WR and there you have it, enough heresay to make everybody crazy.
As the dust settled Thursday morning the latest news popped up from Ian Rapoport who claims that he's hearing that Diggs is in fact NOT available for trade...
In reality, this means nothing. Ian was told by someone he trusts that he's not on the market...right now. We've seen this a thousand times before. A team comes out and makes some sort of comment to chill everybody out. Things do or don't get better, a good offer does or doesn't come in and all of that actually determines the future of the player.
So in fact, the Vikings are simply saying they are not going to give Stefon Diggs away for low value. But if the right offer comes up and they can mend a fence through replacement, they'd be silly not to do so.
On the other hand, maybe they sit down and air their grievances and work it out behind the scenes...though that's not Stef's M.O..
