Vikings RB Dalvin Cook Says He's "100% Confident" He'll play versus Detroit

Minnesota Vikings v Seattle Seahawks

Monday night saw Dalvin Cook watching much of the second half of the Vikings loss from the sidelines after re-aggravating a chest injury that he originally suffered against the Denver Broncos two weeks ago.

"It got banged up again," the running back told Dan Barreiro in a recorded interview Tuesday afternoon. "I landed wrong, an awkward landing and an awkward place to get an injury in your chest...it can hurt pretty bad."

Cook equated the injury to something similar to a bruise in his chest that is impacted when falling improperly or getting hit in a particular way. Sitting out in the second-half was simply a precaution opted by Cook along with the medical and coaching staff to prevent further pain and injury.

As for this week's upcoming game against the Detroit Lions at U.S. Bank Stadium, Cook claims that he's "100% confident" that he'll be ready to go and is focusing on his treatment and rehab this week to better his efforts to be on the field Sunday at noon.

To hear the full interview with Dalvin Cook, tune into The Dan Barreiro Show Tuesday at 5:30pm or check into the Dan Barreiro podcast on iHeartRadio.
