As the Minnesota Vikings prepare to hop a plane to New Orleans tomorrow for their Wild Card playoff game against the Saints, the team's ownership released a statement out of the blue confirming their plans to bring both head coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman back for the foreseeable future.
The brief statement from Zygi and Mark Wilf reads as follows.
"We value Mike and Rick’s leadership and we have every intent of Mike continuing as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings and Rick leading our football operations, next year and beyond."
A nice little nod of confidence in the front office as the team prepares for a big game this Sunday.
