Sunday afternoon in New Orleans got off to a really rotten start for Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen.
Looking to get back to his pre-injury form for the first time since bowing out midseason with a hamstring injury, Adam Thielen caught a pass on the first drive from Kirk Cousins...then he fumbled it and the Saints recovered.
The very next drive saw Thielen get whistled for holding on a big gain and then drop a surefire first down a few plays later.
You'd never guess that's how his day started when you looked at the box score. Spoiler Alert, the Vikings ended up winning the game and it was a 43-yard Adam Thielen catch that set them up with first and goal from the 2 yard line. That catch, one of 7 for Thielen on the day and those 43 yards, just some of Adam's 129 yards on the day.
In a game where the Saints had to pick their poison and locked down Stefon Diggs, Thielen took advantage of the opportunity and on that particular play, Thielen and Cousins took advantage of an injury on the previous play to Marshon Lattimore.
