According to Michael Russo and TheAthletic.com, Minnesota Wild general manager Paul Fenton has been fired after just one season in the role.
Fenton came in highlighy touted during the last offseason and vowed not to make too many large scale changes. One rough season and a handful of big changes to the team later, the Wild missed the playoffs for the first time in a long time. And apparently the finger has been pointed at the now former general manager.
